CIE Legal started the new financial year by making its biggest promotion round yet, elevating three lawyers. Ines Balint has been promoted to Associate while Kaye Ho and Joel Bierenkrant both become Senior Associates. All three were recruited into the firm in the last year.
Prior to qualifying as a lawyer and focusing on employment law, Ines Balint spent nine years as an HR Business Partner in Australia and the UK. This gives her a strong appreciation of the particular nuances and pressures HR departments face and has enabled her to progress her legal career rapidly.
Kaye Ho’s experience advising retailers, particularly in the cosmetics industry, has further bolstered CIE Legal’s focus on the consumer products sector. Having spent a significant portion of her career acting as an outsourced in-house counsel, she is at home advising consumer products businesses on their regulatory, compliance, and commercial issues.
With over ten years behind him working in the law, Joel Bierenkrant is an experienced commercial litigator. He commenced his role at CIE Legal in January 2021 to advise on commercial disputes and debt recovery and has been promoted only seven months after joining.
