Tremendous trust + local expertise delivers strategic acquisition for Arrow Bronze

Arrow Bronze is Australia’s leader in the production and supply of Memorial and Architectural plaques and associated products. When it decided to expand by purchasing Australian business Cameo Memorials, CEO Hymie Jechilevsky turned to CIE Legal for advice.

Smoothing the way

“Arrow Bronze is US owned,” says Jechilevsky, “so the acquisition involved extensive collaboration with our stakeholders in the States. We needed to explain the Australian approach to them as we had to explain the US approach to the Australian vendor. So, what at first appeared like a straightforward acquisition actually involved more deft handling than anticipated. Added to that, time differences were a challenge for the vendor. However, CIE Legal worked hard behind the scenes to smooth the way, which was excellent.”

“Besides the team’s local knowledge, Andrew, Amanda and the rest of the team really supported me personally in helping the US stakeholders and the vendor understand the difference between Australian and US law. Their support was tremendous, and I certainly would have struggled to manage the process without them.”

Everyone contributed

Jechilevsky is enthusiastic about every team member’s contribution, saying, “I can’t speak positively enough about CIE Legal’s work.”

“Amanda was absolutely incredible.”

“Monica’s work on the leases was particularly good.”

“Andrew handled it magnificently.”

Firm when needed

CIE Legal’s willingness to share a point of view was particularly valued: “They stood their ground when they had to. It’s nice working with people who aren’t scared to talk and are willing to share their perspective.”

Tremendous trust

Mr Jechilevsky sums up his feedback with “CIE Legal was a joy to work with. There was tremendous trust.”
